Julie Vacura Receives Owen Panner Professionalism Award at 2026 Litigation Institute
March 16, 2026Larkins Vacura Kayser LLP is proud to announce that partner Julie Vacura was presented with the Owen Panner Professionalism Award by the Oregon State Bar’s Litigation Section at this year’s Litigation Institute.
The Owen Panner Professionalism Award annually recognizes an outstanding trial lawyer who exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and civility in the practice of law—values Judge Owen Panner championed throughout his career.
Julie was honored for her exceptional advocacy, steadfastly respectful litigation, and dedicated leadership in the legal community. Reflections on her remarkable career and attentive mentorship were shared by the Honorable Danielle Hunsaker of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Whitney Boise of Boise Huseby LLP, and William L. Larkins, the retired co-founder of Larkins Vacura Kayser LLP. In her brief remarks, Julie shared that while "we as lawyers are not important, what we do is very, very important.”
Julie’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation. Widely respected by colleagues, opposing counsel, and the bench alike for her sound judgment and professionalism, she has been recognized by Best Lawyers since 2011 and Oregon Super Lawyers since 2007. Outside the courtroom, she enjoys mentoring young attorneys through the Multnomah Bar Association and Oregon Women Lawyers and her participation in the American College of Trial Lawyers and International Society of Barristers.
