Representative Cases

Successfully represented federal government in a medical negligence trial involving the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Experience

Sarah Feldman is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience representing clients in complex civil matters in both state and federal courts. Her practice spans a wide range of commercial and civil litigation, including business disputes, professional liability, insurance coverage, health care litigation, securities litigation, antitrust matters, and appellate advocacy. Drawing on years of courtroom experience and government service, Sarah provides thoughtful, strategic counsel tailored to each client’s objectives.

Before joining Larkins Vacura Kayser LLP, Sarah served as Deputy Chief of the Civil Division for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon, where she supervised civil litigation and represented the federal government in high-stakes matters involving healthcare, constitutional claims, torts, and administrative law. Her prior experience also includes serving as an Assistant United States Attorney, practicing with a respected Portland litigation firm, and clerking for judges on both the Oregon Supreme Court and Oregon Court of Appeals, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Sarah is committed to helping clients understand the litigation process, evaluate risk, and make informed decisions throughout every stage of a case. Whether advocating in the courtroom or negotiating a favorable resolution, she is known for her practical approach, thorough preparation, and unwavering dedication to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

Throughout her career, Sarah has successfully represented the federal government in medical negligence trials, prevailed in complex insurance arbitration, authored an amicus curiae brief before the Oregon Supreme Court, defeated venue transfer motions in high-exposure litigation, and obtained favorable summary judgment and settlement outcomes in contentious employment disputes.
